We, the undersigned, do hereby affirm that we are the authors of the program listed above, to be entered by us in the computer go competition to be held in July 2002 and eligible for the 21st Century Cup awards; that we are the owners of that program and as such posess full intellectual property rights to substantially all of the components of the program. We understand that we may be required to place source code in escrow with a law firm in order to verify ownership and absence of infringements on intellectual property if necessary. We agree that if our program does in fact infringe, or make unauthorized use of any algorithm or code, it shall not be permitted to compete for the cup, and if it does compete for the cup, and it is determined that the program has in fact infringed or made such unauthorized use of an algorithm or code, the program's illegal status will be publicly announced and the program in question rendered ineligible for any honors and prizes, or, if it has already received such honors or prizes, be required to return them forthwith.
